Deep greens; Forest Green, Hunter Green, earthy greens, all compliment red-burgundy tones.
If there are additional tones or patterns in the carpet then work from that, pulling in a tone that is only an accent in the carpet. Maybe a blue, or coral tone, perhaps even pastel tone might work.
