Subject: Problem Using 2 Oil Glazes
Message:
Hi..I am using 2 different color oil glazes for antiquing. The first is a tone of the base color and the second is for aging. I apply the tone glaze first and let it dry and then apply the second aging color. My problem is that when I apply the second glaze it removes and moves around some of the first glaze. Am I not allowing the first glaze to dry long enough (about 24 to 48 hours) or am I doing something else wrong ? I mix my own glazing colors using Japan Colors, Alkyd Glazing Liquid and Mineral Spirits to thin it slightly. Thanks Regina
