Subject: Overlapping glaze problem
Message:
Hi. I just completed my first decorative finish project and I have one area that doesn't look right. This is a small bathroom so I felt confident I could work on it a section-at-a-time quite easily. I completed all the walls with a latex glaze mixed with latex paint over a sem-gloss base coat (which is what the glaze mfr suggested). Two of the walls meet in an outwardly facing, rounded corner. At the overlap point, which is on the flat part of one wall, there is a significant build-up of paint. I realized what was happening too late and brushing more seemed to be making it worse so I just left it to dry. But now what do I do? Should I sand it down and re-apply the base coat and the glaze just on that corner? If so, will the new wet paint build-up on the area already dry? Are there any other suggestions? Thanks for any help.
