Using Triadic color schemes

When placing an equilateral or isosceles triangle in the center of the color wheel, the 3 colors touched by the triangle points at once are known as triadic colors. These 3 color combinations create a harmonious color theme. They are lively and contrasting, they provide the strongest contrast in terms of hue. All pure undiluted colors contrast. Contrasts are the spice of making art.

Referring to the 12 step color wheel, we will find triadic, harmonious colors in the following positions.

The triangles may be rotated at will, with each resulting 3 colors creating new harmonious triadic color schemes.
